I am an associate professor of instructional technology at South Valley University, Egypt and currently work at Sultan Qaboos University, Oman. In 2002, I received my Ph.D. in educational technology from the University of Hull, UK. I worked as an educational technology consultant in the Partners for Competitive Egypt (PfC) project, funded by the USAID between 2003 and 2005. I teach many courses in instructional computer, distance education, multimedia and photography for undergraduate and postgraduate students. My current research interests include the effective integration of ICT into the curriculum in developing regions, and improving students' visual and IT literacy. Within the last few years I have published many papers in international refereed journals. I have conducted many workshops and in process of conducting a research on the use and evaluation of IT at school and university level. I have this website, blog, social media networks, and repository to advertise my academic work
